10 Months Old!

Eleanor is 10 months old. It's still amazing how quickly she has grown. She's very mobile now - crawling and cruising everywhere. She's discovered that chairs are great for pushing and will push a chair around the kitchen to get around. She also still loves to climb. If there are stairs she can get to, watch out, she bolts straight for them. Often, she'll look back at mom or dad for verification that it's ok to climb, but even if we tell her it's not ok to climb the stairs, she grins, giggles and starts climbing.

Nora is mostly a good eater. She loves her veggies - corn, peas, carrots, spinach, green beans...Fruits are another story. She can't have applesauce (perhaps to acidic?), but loves pears, peaches and plums...sometimes. She'll eat melon if she can feed it to herself. She likes most grains that we've tried - barley, millet, oats, but she's not a huge fan of quinoa. She also really likes beans - we usually let her feed herself and then give her some extra mashed beans!

Lately, she's become very interactive. She love to hand things to people - even partially chewed food! She has learned to wave, clap, signal a touchdown. We are still working on blowing kisses. She loves to play peekaboo.

Poor kid seems to be about to cut 4 top teeth all around the same time. We can see the bumps for all 4 teeth right now and she's had a hard time sleeping lately. Hopefully, they will come through very soon!

Nora takes 2 good naps a day (in her crib!). The first is around 9am (usually) and is about 90 minutes. The second is around 2 and can last just over 2 hours. This means I have some time to myself each day to get a shower and pick up a bit. It's been great. Of course, with the poor night sleep lately, I've been napping right along with her in the afternoons!

Here are some 10 month photos of Nora.

10 months next to teddy. It's sad that she needed long pants and a long shirt in early August!

Touchdown!

I got a lot of goofy smiles in the high chair. Here are two of them.
