Nora is 18 months old! It's hard to believe that a year ago, she was working on sitting up. Now she's walking, talking, and climbing! She is such a joy, and keeps us on our toes. She's got so many new words, and each day seems to bring more. It's really amazing how well she can communicate with us. She's also learned a lot of the daily routines, and is very particular about how things are done - from how we start the dishwasher, to where we take our shoes off and where we sit at the dinner table. Nora has started noticing when we have music playing and she will dance around. It's pretty funny, and sometimes she will ask that we dance with her (which, I'm sure, is equally comical). One of the funny conversations I've had with her recently was about breakfast. I asked her if she wanted pancakes for breakfast and she said "yah, two!" I don't think she really knows what 2 means, but the timing was great.
Nora decided about 2 weeks ago (March 26) that she was done nursing. It was a bit tough on me emotionally, but I think the pregnancy has effected my milk (or at least the supply). She sometimes will still ask to nurse, but most of the time it's because she's bored. At least she made it through the majority of the cold and flu season. She still sleeps well most nights. Her bedtime routine is pretty simple - we read her 2 books (one is always "It's time to Sleep, My Love"), brush teeth, and get into pajamas and rock with daddy for 10 minutes. She actually asks to go to bed! Sometimes we'll hear her chattering to her 'baby' for about 20 minutes before falling asleep. She still wakes up hard though - it takes her 30 minutes of being attached to mom or dad in the morning before she is really ready to explore.
