Acton Discovery Museum

This week, we went to the Acton Children's Discovery Museum. Nora had a blast! It's an old house with lots of little rooms - there's a train room, a ball room, a water room, a cafe, a rainbow room...as you might imagine, we spent a lot of time in the water area and in the cafe, although Nora enjoyed the big puzzle in the rainbow room as well. They even had a sensory room for the littles - including some black and white images on the wall for kids in carriers to look at!

Rainbow Room. There was a rainbow structure in the middle of the room. The steps up actually light up (Beth was too light) and then there is a slide down.



Safari room. Nora was telling a story about the Elephant going to see the Lupine Lady!

Beth in one of the infant nooks. She loved this little ball - played with it for 20 minutes while Nora played in the cafe!


A nice wooden dollhouse. This room also had some legos with the platforms mounted on the wall, which was fun. There was also a puppet theater in the room.

This is what Nora looked like in the morning before we left for the museum. Love the hair! She also looks like she needs some coffee...but really, she had tons of energy about 10 seconds after I took the photo.


Nora did not want to leave the museum, but it was closing and time to go home! I took out the camera to try and distract her (she USUALLY hams it up for the camera), but it didn't help. Poor kid. I wonder how many other moms see the same sad, heartbreaking faces when it's time to go home...
