Memorial Weekend

We had a quiet but busy Memorial Weekend. Most of my family was in Oregon at my Aunt Sue's wedding. We were sad to miss it, but after a long weekend trip to Maine the weekend before, we were somewhat relieved to just stay home. We spent some of the time doing yard work and also made it out for a hike! Nora had fun the whole weekend.

Nora sitting on a big rock at the bottom of the trail.

Taking a rest on the trail. Nora did really well on the flat trail, and rode on Andy's back when she got tired (which, naturally, occurred when the trail started uphill!).

Snacktime!

One of Nora's favorite activities for the weekend was helping to spread the bark mulch. She is still asking to put down more mulch!

Being goofy and wearing Beth's sunhat.

A shot of some of our work. We moved one of the azalea's, but in a rhododendron, and added some hostas, bee balm and a few other perennials. We also planted some cat-mint near the mailbox. Made our front yard look a lot better!
