The food color I have is water soluble, but not very oil soluble. So...I put some food color, oil and water in a soda bottle and had Nora shake up the bottle. She got a "green" bottle and an "orange" bottle which separated into blue/yellow and burgundy/yellow (she chose the food color choices). We spend a long time shaking the bottles, making waves and watching the water bubbles float through the oil!
