My two little stars walking into the park.
Sitting at a sculpture/water feature right near the entrance. This "fairy garden" was one of their favorite places.
Nora doing one of her favorite things...climbing!
One of the many sculptures we saw during our visit.
Another of Nora's favorite parts of the park. A giant rock that you could climb up and slide down!
Walking along a trail, the sign said "Please stay on marked trail" Nora took this to mean she had to stay on the stones, so she jumped from stone to stone.
Beth at a sculpture/overlook along the trail.
Is this a sculpture or a robot?
Mmmm...rocks!
Does this one taste any different?
The big steel monster in the woods. Nora really wanted him to get up and move so they could play duck duck goose.
Beth sitting on a piece of art. She climbed up all by herself and could not have been more proud of herself!
Nora on the sculpture.
And...more rock climbing!
Along the trail, there was an area with lots of rock sculptures. My girls had to add their own piles!
Musical art! And you could play with a stick...
or a pine cone! Nora loved testing out the different noise made from the sticks and pine cones.
Nora and her friend H making finger tracks in the dirt.
Back to the "fairy garden" (as Nora called it). This time, we did some fishing!
and of course, more climbing!
Our day ended somewhat abruptly when Nora fell into the pond and got soaked. Luckily, I keep a full change of clothes for each kid in the car for just such emergencies. I was pretty amazed that with all the climbing and rock sliding Nora did that she didn't have a hole in her shorts. She was filthy though! It was a great way to spend an afternoon, and we didn't even see half the park! I'm sure we'll be going back again!
