Parlee Farms!

Parlee Farms in the fall is always a fun trip. They have goats, bunnies and chickens to visit, a hay play area and plenty of pumpkins! We went to Parlee after Nora's tumbling class last Wednesday for a picnic lunch and a little afternoon play in the sunshine.
Beth with her cup of goat food. She keeps trying to feed the goats and then changes her mind right before and asks Nora or me to feed the goat instead. It's progress over the beginning of the summer and I'm sure by next year, she'll be feeding the goats!
Nora has no problems feeding the goats this year. It's so nice to see her so confident around them, even if it is because she knows they are trapped behind the fence...
 Look at the chickens!
Walking on the hay play. Beth was still a little bit nervous to walk on the hay, but enjoyed it as long as someone was nearby. The hay play area is a bunch of hay bales all set up in a maze for the kids to run on or through the maze. Once the fall playtime ends, the hay is used for the strawberry patches.
 Nora dancing on the hay.
 Running on the hay.
I LOVE this shot of Nora and Beth walking hand in hand across the farm. For the record, I did not dress them to match. Nora chose overalls, and then Beth insisted on pants with "snaps up high."
Nora enjoyed looking at the pumpkins and checking to see how heavy they were.

I let the girls each pick out a small pumpkin to take home and paint. After they picked them out, we sad down for a few minutes to rest. Both girls were exhausted!
